Mafia figures, organized crime gangs, and other violent criminals have found a new, easy target to make illegal money: Medicare and Medicaid fraud.
Criminals are quickly learning that Medicare scams present potentially larger payoffs with relatively lower prison sentences as compared to other crimes such as drug trafficking or other more violent crimes.
